Choose a size

The right rug can completely transform a space.

More than just a decorative piece, a rug helps frame your furniture, define different areas, and bring balance to the room. When the size and placement feel right, the entire space looks more polished and cohesive.

Use these simple guidelines to find the perfect fit with confidence.

Living Room

Position your rug to anchor the seating area as one unified space. Ideally, place at least the front legs of your sofa and chairs on the rug for a balanced layout.

Small: 160 × 230 cm
Standard: 190 × 290 cm
Large: 240 × 330 cm or 300 × 400 cm

Tip: Leave around 20–30 cm between the rug and walls to maintain an open, spacious feel.

Bedroom

A rug adds warmth, texture, and comfort underfoot. Position it about two-thirds of the way beneath the bed so it extends beyond the sides and foot.

Queen: 240 × 330 cm
King: 300 × 400 cm
Runners: 80 × 300 cm each side

Tip: Allow at least 50 cm of rug space on each side for a soft, layered hotel-style look.

Dining Room

Your rug should comfortably fit beneath both the table and chairs, even when the chairs are pulled out.

6 Seater: 290 × 200 cm
8 Seater: 330 × 240 cm
Round: 240 cm

Tip: Flatweave and washable rugs are ideal for easy maintenance in dining spaces.

Outdoor

Style your outdoor area just as thoughtfully as your interiors. Keep the front legs of your outdoor furniture on the rug to help define the setting.

Small: 160 × 230 cm
Standard: 190 × 290 cm
Large: 240 × 330 cm or 300 × 400 cm

Play Areas

Create a soft and inviting space for playtime, relaxation, and everyday family living.

Standard: 200 × 140 cm
Large: 300 × 200 cm
Round: 200 cm

Tip: Choose versatile designs that complement your home beautifully year-round.

Matched to the rug size you pick.

A rug pad sits out of sight under your rug. It keeps the rug where you put it and takes some of the everyday wear off both the rug and the floor beneath it.

On timber and tile, a rug with nothing underneath can slide when you walk on it, and its backing rubs straight against the floor.

What a pad does

Holds your rug in place on timber and tile
Helps protect hard floors from scratches
Reduces wear on the rug's fibres
Lets air move underneath, which helps deter mould and odour
Adds comfort underfoot (felt pad)

Description

The Ondella Chocolate Round Rug brings an artistic edge to interior styling with its rounded form and softly scalloped perimeter. Hand tufted in India from polyester, its rich chocolate colour adds warmth and depth, while the irregular outline creates a distinctive focal point that feels more sculptural than a traditional round rug.

Its earthy brown palette sits beautifully alongside cream furnishings, natural timber, soft beige textiles and warm accent colours. With a stain-resistant, colourfast finish, this rug combines expressive design with everyday practicality, making it a considered addition to bedrooms, reading corners or compact living spaces.
